Believing, Living, Sharing

To The Glory of God

It is our desire as a church to be upwardly focused, worshipping the Triune God (believing), inwardly focused, seeking to shepherd the needs of our members (living) and outwardly focused, seeking to love and care for our community and the world around us (sharing). We are currently in a season of Church Revitalization, working to rebuild and strengthen our congregation through a renewed commitment to biblical preaching, reformed worship, and faithful discipleship. We would love to have you come and visit us in person, to join us for worship or our other weekly activities, and become part of this exciting journey of spiritual renewal and growth. You will find contact information at the bottom of this page.

Our History

Rooted in Scripture, Anchored in the Reformed Tradition

Presbyterian Church In America

Presbyterian Church in America

The PCA denomination began with a goal to be ‘Faithful to the Scriptures, True to the Reformed Faith, and Obedient to the Great Commission.’ The Presbyterian Church in America is a newer denomination with deep roots back to Scottish Presbyterianism and the Reformation. We came into being on December 4, 1973 after many were concerned with a drifting toward theological liberalism in many denominations across the US at that time. The PCA, was formed with a desire to exalt God as God and to see His Word faithfully interpreted and taught.

Temple Presbyterian Church

A core group from another local church would join this new denomination in 1975 to form Temple PCA.  For two and a half years, Temple met in school buildings and on special occasions used space in another local PCA church.  In the beginning its people raised money to build their own sanctuary.  Mrs. Marie Templeton donated the property on which to build the church.  (Details taken from a history of Temple written by Elder Tom Clark who is now with the Lord).
